BOSINGWA URGES LIVERPOOL TO SIGN BRIGHTON DEFENDER BEN WHITE

Jose Bosingwa has tipped Jurgen Klopp to go ahead and complete the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White in a sensational swoop. Premier League Champions Liverpool remain in the hunt for defensive reinforcements and have been linked with a move for the talented defender in recent weeks, with the Anfield club expected to make their move in the summer transfer window.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds have been holding a strong admiration for White in recent months and see him as their perfect kind of defender who would come in to provide serious squad depth and strength should he be signed. The 23-year-old was closely monitored by scouts from Liverpool during his loan stint at Leeds United as he helped the Elland Road club to secure promotion back to the Premier League last season.

White signed a new contract at Brighton last year that will see him remain at the club for a few more years. However, those years may be cut short if Liverpool make a bid as it may be too good for the Seagulls to turn down.

Liverpool allowed Dejan Lovren to leave Anfield without really putting plans in place to replace the Croatian defender, and that ill-fated decision has come back to haunt the Anfield-based club. With Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez bothwith injuries, the club has suffered most part if the season so far with niggling injuries to some of their star players

And former Chelsea full-back Bosingwa believes Liverpool would be doing themselves a huge favor if they can complete the deal for White. Bosingwa said White is a great defender who is still very young and already good with the ball when defending. He added that he has a lot of years ahead of him and will get even better as he ages.
