BOSINGWA OFF TO BARCA

Chelsea defender José Bosingwa, whose contract with the London club comes to an end shortly, has been offered as one of the candidates for Barcelona, according to the Chelsea news website. It is thought that the Spanish club would be willing to listen to offers for the 29-year-old Brazilian full-back Dani Alves.

Manchester City are one of the clubs interested in securing the Brazilian, who is regarded as one of the best attacking right back in the world. They are looking at the possibility of replacing the former Sevilla defender due to the fact that he has only one season left on his current contract. Now, José Bosingwa, who helped Chelsea lift the Champions League title, has emerged as a real transfer target for the Spanish club.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season. As a result, he would prove to be a valuable addition to the Lionel Messi‘s squad. Barcelona recently changed their manager, which meant that the man who was responsible for bringing Alves to the club – Guardiola – has left the Camp Nou. The in-house politics mean that it is unlikely that Alves will continue at the club due to the fact that the new manager will be looking to bring in his own players.

José Bosingwa may not be the best defenders in the world, but he is almost on par with Alves when it comes to helping the attack. This would prove to be a major selling point for the Portuguese right back, who can also play in a variety of positions across the back four. However, Barcelona are not the only club interested in securing the signature of José Bosingwa because he has been linked with a move to Italian club Juventus as well. Even though Chelsea have the option to extend his contract by one more year, they elected not to.
