BAYERN INTERESTED IN BOSINGWA

Bayern Munich are interested in Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa according to reports. According to a report from Kicker, Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger observed the 28-year-old Bosingwa during Chelsea's 1-0 win over Fulham last Wednesday. Coach Louis van Gaal supported such rumours by stating that he is looking for a right full-back: "Because we have no alternative to Philipp Lahm."

In addition to Bosingwa, Bayern are also being linked with 24-year-old Bordeaux left back Benoit Tremoulinas, who could follow in the footsteps of Bixente Lizarazu and Willy Sagnol as the third French full-back to play for Bayern in the last decade.

Exactly how Jose Bosingwa or Tremoulinas would fit in at Bayern remains subject to speculation. Van Gaal prefers Lahm on the right side of defence, but should Bosingwa join the club, he would offer stiff competition that could see Diego Contento and Danijel Pranjic frozen out of potential playing roles.
